November 20th was a special day in Swanthana home. It was Mother Superior’s feast day commemorating the birthday of St.Caecillia, the patroness of musicians.It was quite an eventful day celebrated with much joy and enthusiasm by everyone in Swanthana as well as its well wishers.It started with a prayer, songs ,choreography by students followed by dance performance and skit by helpers of the home.The children were looking resplendent and performed amazingly well to an enthralled audience  who thoroughly enjoyed the great many talents of our children.The children also presented hand made cards and embroidered frames as gifts to their dear ‘Akkamma’ feast day.They were preparing enthusiastically for this special day for almost a month keeping it as a surprise to her till the end.

Mother Superior was overwhelmed by the pure love shown by all the children and thanked all of them joyfully.The celebrations ended with a sumptuous meal arranged lovingly by sisters served to all of them who will remember this day for a long time.

It was indeed an eventful day due to the tireless efforts of sisters, helpers, children and volunteers in the home.
